Born 1990, I grew up in the small village of Lindenberg in Brandenburg. After studying science journalism at the TU Dortmund University with a focus on life sciences and medicine, I interned at DER SPIEGEL in Washington, D.C.. 2013 I started working at DIE ZEIT in Hamburg as a reporter mainly for the fields of ecology, science and environment. I write books and work as a presenter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am interested in the fundamental relationship between man and nature: how humans define their role in the Anthropocene. How they deal with the existential threat of ecological crisis. Which mechanisms are behind the destruction of nature, and how things are connected in the global ecosystem earth. Such questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My research has taken me to research stations in Antarctica and ancient oases in Oman, to villages in Rwanda and atolls in Indonesia, to remote glaciers in Greenland and the beaches of Galapagos Island. My articles have been published in S\u00fcddeutsche Zeitung, SPIEGEL Online, Tagesspiegel, amongst others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020 the bestselling non-fiction<a href=\"https:\/\/www.randomhouse.de\/Buch\/UEber-Leben\/Dirk-Steffens\/Penguin\/e567470.rhd\"> &#8220;\u00dcBER LEBEN \u2013\u00a0Zukunftsfrage Artensterben: Wie wir die \u00d6kokrise \u00fcberwinden&#8221; <\/a>was published by Penguin that I wrote together with Dirk Steffens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2010 I have been organizing the <em>Lindenberger Fr\u00fchlingskonzerte<\/em>, a concert series for classical music and jazz that brings international talents to the small village of Lindenberg. Since 2018 I have been curating and moderating the <em>Lindenberger Gespr\u00e4che \u00fcber Politik und Gesellschaft<\/em> (Lindenberg talks on politics and society). In 2019, together with the Artspace \u00c2me Nue in Hamburg, I launched the series <em>Entering the Anthropocene<\/em> to talk about science, ecology and art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awards:<br><strong>2020<\/strong> Arthur F.
